Crews will be working on improvements to the water system in the Village of Barons over the next few weeks. To complete this work safely, water service to your property will be temporarily shut off several times during this period.

First scheduled outage
Wednesday, July 29, 2026 – 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Scheduled outages will not last longer than one working day.

How to prepare

Store enough water in advance to cover your household needs for drinking, cooking, and sanitation for the full day. Filling a few jugs and a clean container or two the night before is usually enough for most households.

When service comes back on

You may notice discoloured water or air in your lines. This is normal. Run a cold water tap until the water runs clear before drinking or cooking with it.

Future outages

Dates and times for the remaining shutoffs will be posted here on the Village of Barons website and on the Village of Barons Facebook page as they are scheduled. Check back before each work day.
